Thank you for choosing Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry. Our goal is to place healthy, well-cared-for rabbits in homes that are prepared for them. Please review our sales policy before reserving a rabbit.
By submitting payment toward a rabbit, you acknowledge and agree to the policies below.
Rabbits are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
A non-refundable deposit per rabbit is required to reserve a rabbit. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.
Deposits are specific to the rabbit selected and are not transferable to another rabbit. If the buyer changes their mind or cancels the purchase, the deposit is forfeited and the rabbit may be made available again.
If Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry is unable to complete the sale, any payments made toward that rabbit will be refunded.
We accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and cash for local pickup.
All rabbits must be paid in full before leaving our care.
If you need us to hold your rabbit beyond its ready date, the rabbit must be paid in full.
The first 7 days after the ready date are complimentary. After that, a boarding fee of $15 per rabbit, per week will apply to help cover housing, feed, grooming, and daily care.
If the buyer stops communicating or fails to make arrangements for pickup, Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry reserves the right to cancel the reservation and make the rabbit available again. Deposits and boarding fees are non-refundable.
Rabbits will not leave Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry before 8 weeks of age and may remain longer depending on their individual development and readiness.
For the privacy and safety of our family and animals, Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry is a closed rabbitry. Pickups take place at an arranged public meeting location.
We can coordinate meeting locations in Ardmore, Huntsville, Athens, Fayetteville, and other nearby areas on a case-by-case basis.
We will contact you before your rabbit's ready date to arrange pickup. Please communicate promptly if your plans change.
Transportation beyond an agreed meeting location is the buyer's responsibility. We may assist with coordinating a rabbit or livestock transporter when available; however, Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry is not responsible for third-party transportation, delays, or issues occurring during transport.
We make every effort to accurately sex our rabbits; however, gender is not guaranteed, particularly in young rabbits.
Buyers are encouraged to verify gender at pickup. Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry is not responsible for gender discrepancies discovered after the rabbit has left our care.
All rabbits are sold healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time they leave our care and are eating and drinking independently before leaving.
Changes in environment, feed, water, temperature, transportation, stress, or care can affect a rabbit's health. Because these factors are outside our control once a rabbit leaves, we cannot guarantee future health and are not responsible for veterinary expenses.
Please contact us promptly if you have concerns after bringing your rabbit home. We are always happy to help when we can.
Rabbits may be offered as pet, fiber, or breeding prospects based on our evaluation at the time of sale.
Young rabbits continue to grow and change, and their adult characteristics cannot be guaranteed. This includes, but is not limited to, adult size, body type, ear size or position, coat length, density, texture, guard hairs, furnishings, color, markings, and overall fiber quality.
For wool breeds, we cannot guarantee the quality, density, texture, or ease of maintenance of the adult coat based on the rabbit's baby or junior coat.
For rabbits sold as breeding prospects, we cannot guarantee future fertility, breeding ability, litter production, or the traits or colors a rabbit may produce when bred.
We will represent each rabbit as accurately as possible based on what we can observe at the time of sale and will disclose any known faults or concerns.
A Hoppy Ever After rabbit always has a place to come back to us.
If you are no longer able to care for a rabbit purchased from us, please contact us. We will take the rabbit back or, when appropriate, help with rehoming.
Returning a rabbit does not entitle the buyer to a refund. We would much rather hear from you than have one of our rabbits surrendered to a shelter or placed in an unsuitable situation.
Our rabbits are accustomed to fresh water provided in bowls, free-choice Timothy hay, and their current pellet feed.
Each rabbit will go home with a small amount of its current feed to help with a gradual transition.
Angoras and other wool or fuzzy breeds require regular grooming and coat maintenance. Buyers are responsible for providing appropriate housing, nutrition, grooming, veterinary care, and general husbandry.
First-time rabbit owner? Please ask. We're happy to provide guidance and a care guide.
Please bring a secure, appropriately ventilated carrier when picking up your rabbit.
For the rabbit's safety, we will not release a rabbit for transportation in an unsafe or unsuitable container.
Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry reserves the right to refuse or cancel a sale before the rabbit leaves our care if we believe the placement is not in the rabbit's best interest.
If Hoppy Ever After Rabbitry cancels a sale for reasons unrelated to the buyer's violation of this policy, payments made toward the rabbit will be refunded.
